Ron Van Rooy

Ron was born and completed his education in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He lived in New Zealand from 1983 where he worked for the School of Optometry at the University of Auckland and owned one of Auckland’s first optical dispensing practices. He moved back to Amsterdam in 1988 for family reasons.

Ron moved to Brisbane in 1999 and joined the Da Rin group in 2004, he is based at the New Farm practice and has a keen interest in spectacle fashion and lens design.

In his personal time he enjoys Queensland’s ‘outdoor’ lifestyle, travel and spending time with family and friends.
